Pontiac's Walton Charter Academy middle school students begin their day with science and mathematics. They will then attend gym, art and music class once a week followed by social studies and language arts.

Middle school students have the opportunity to go on field trips starting in 6th grade:

  • Sixth graders have a 3-day trip to Northern Michigan University.
  • Seventh graders go to Michigan Adventure.
  • Eighth graders go to Cedar Point in addition to periodic field trips throughout the school year, such as an annual trip to the Holocaust Museum.

In addition, a historical 4-day trip to Washington DC, Philadelphia and Gettysburg is available to 8th graders who choose to participate at an additional cost.
