Pontiac's Walton Charter Academy middle school students begin their day with science and mathematics. They will then attend gym, art and music class once a week followed by social studies and language arts.
Middle school students have the opportunity to go on field trips starting in 6th grade:
Sixth graders have a 3-day trip to Northern Michigan University.
Seventh graders go to Michigan Adventure.
Eighth graders go to Cedar Point in addition to periodic field trips throughout the school year, such as an annual trip to the Holocaust Museum.
In addition, a historical 4-day trip to Washington DC, Philadelphia and Gettysburg is available to 8th graders who choose to participate at an additional cost.
