Parental Partnership: Uniform Dress Code
We sternly believe that the tone for feeling, behaving, and performing professionally is set by a professional appearance. The following dress code describes appropriate school attire. Anything not listed below should be considered out of dress code.
Personal Hygiene
The personal grooming of each student should be in accord with the standards set by the uniform dress code. Students should be clean and neat when they come to school.
All Students
- White or Navy shirts with fold down collars (includes mock turtleneck, long or short sleeves, cotton or knit) any undergarment worn underneath the uniform top must be the same solid color. White undergarments may be worn with navy or white outer shirts.
- Solid navy blue, black or khaki dress pants with standard pickets only.
Standard black, brown, or navy belts must be worn. Belt buckles should be standard (3 inches by 2 inches), no spinning belt buckles or sashes.
- Shirts worn under the uniform should not have any type of written information. White outer shirts should be worn with a white undergarment or white t-shirt (without any written information or logos). Navy outer shirts should be worn with a white undergarment or navy t-shirt (without any written information or logos).
- Only brown or black shoes or athletic shoes (black or white) may be worn. Sandals or other open toe shoes are not permitted. Boots are not permitted except as outerwear. Boots may be worn at arrival and at dismissal.
- Cold weather attire may include solid color sweaters or vests in navy or white. These sweaters must be worn with a collared shirt.
- Hats of any kind are not permitted.
- Extreme hairstyles are not permitted. Hair color for boys and girls must be of natural tones, and may not be professionally colored, dyed or streaked.
- Students may not display tattoos.
- Shirts must be long enough to stay tucked inside the pants, skirts, skorts, or shorts at all times.
- Please note that we will not be able to make any type of accommodations for new piercings.
- Wearing, carrying or displaying gang paraphernalia, names, signs or symbols of gang membership is prohibited.
Boys
- Solid navy, black, or khaki shorts with standard pockets; belts must be worn with trousers having belt loops. Shirts must stay tucked in pants or shorts.
- White, navy or black socks.
- Hairstyles must be conservative.
- Earrings or body piercing ornaments are not permitted.
